With Amparo Zamora kindly providing make-up, we met up for a promo shot late last Friday. I think we were all feeling pretty tired after a busy week, but everyone soldiered on valiantly :)
Keeping lighting simple (shoot-through umbrella at top right of shot and backlight at top left) we run through various poses around Kat (Arney)'s impressive harp. The two Kats posed gracefully and without much direction (I think they've done this before you know) and I tried my best to make the most of the impressive prop - the harp has such lovely curves that open up lots of interesting compositional possibilities.
I find that my style in the studio tends towards running through lots of different poses and trying to get people immersed in the shoot and relaxed. To avoid breaking the mood I avoid making tweaks to the lighting during the shoot, which can lead to me having to do more post-processing than perhaps I ought. This shoot was no exception, but I think the means justifies the end...
